What do I need to rent a car in the Canary Islands with Omega Rent?
The minimum age of the driver must be 23 years, and they must have a valid driver’s license in Spain that has been held for at least 1 year at the time of picking up the vehicle. Additionally, a physical credit or debit card must be presented.
Do I have to leave a deposit when I pick up the vehicle?
All reservations will include the Mandatory Basic Insurance (CDW), which involves a payment/blocking of a deposit. However, at the time of picking up the vehicle, you can purchase the SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver), an additional insurance that will eliminate the deposit as long as the reservation is paid with a credit card. If you use another form of payment, a deposit may be required; please consult the office for details.
What does the super insurance cover?
It covers flat tires, mirrors, windows, lights, bodywork, roadside assistance, towing, and replacement, as long as there is no improper or malicious use of the vehicle.
What does the super insurance not cover?
Any case that violates the terms established in the following link will be considered unauthorized or improper use of the vehicle and will not be covered by any insurance, which will allow Omega Rent to terminate the rental contract early due to breach, and to seek compensation for any damages incurred.
Do I need a credit card?
Payment for the reservation will be made at our office when picking up the vehicle with a credit card:
- Visa
- Mastercard
Any other payment method must be consulted with the rental office, as depending on the model, insurance chosen, and payment method, a deposit may be required. Under no circumstances are Amex cards, prepaid cards, rechargeable cards, virtual cards, or bank transfers accepted.
Can I cancel my reservation?
No prepayment is required for the reservation, so you can cancel it at any time without any commitment. We ask that you contact our reservations department at +34 602 227 988 or reservas@omegarent.es to make your vehicle available for another customer.
Please note that if you pick up the vehicle later than the time stated in the reservation, we must be informed. Otherwise, we will provide a courtesy period of 2 hours before proceeding with the cancellation.
Will I get the vehicle I see on the website?
Please note that you are reserving a group or category, which consists of several vehicle models that share technical or space characteristics. Therefore, the exact vehicle cannot be guaranteed. It will depend on the availability at the office. However, you are guaranteed that the delivered vehicle will be from the same group or a higher group at no extra cost if there is no availability.
